1. How do I know if I qualify for the Bucks Back Bonus?

You must have been a Dial Direct customer with the Bucks Back Bonus option for the past 4 consecutive years and not made certain claims (please see question 2 for the exempt claims) during this time.  You will be notified in writing of your Bucks Back Bonus payout.

2. If I have made a small claim during the past year does this mean I don’t qualify for the Bucks Back Bonus?

Not all claims affect your pay-out and you will still receive you Bucks Bonus if you have claimed for:

  • A stolen car, provided it was fitted with an approved tracking system
  • Fire brigade charges for a fire at your house
  • Garden furniture stolen out of your garden
  • Theft of money, documents, stamps and coins or the belongings of your guests or domestic employees from your home
  • Car windscreen chips
  • Medical expenses incurred by a third party after an injury caused by a defect in your buildings or by your pet
  • Loss of rent – if you’ve had to pay to live elsewhere because your home was damaged
  • Veterinary expenses after a road accident involving your household pet
  • A hole-in-one or bowling full house
  • Fraudulent use of your credit or bank cards
  • Household goods damaged in a removal company truck by fire, lightning or explosion

3. How much money will I receive?

You will receive 25% of your premiums after 4 years, or the entire 1st year’s premiums – whichever the lesser.

4. How do I collect my Bucks Back Bonus?

Your Bucks Back Bonus will be paid directly into the bank account that your last premium was deducted from so long as you do not claim until the anniversary of your policy.

5. I’m not a Dial Direct customer but would like to become one?
